Antrim at the Ulster Camogie Awards 2025
1st February 2025
Ulster Camogie Awards, Armagh City Hotel, Armagh 1st February 2025
The Ulster Camogie Awards is one of the sporting calendar highlights that has it all, a well organised event with high performing and grateful nominees, a super venue supplying a fabulous lunch and a room packed with an enthusiastic audience.
Antrim had a healthy nominee list across county and club, management and officer roles to volunteers. In the end, as they say, there can only be one winner, and we are delighted to see Roisin McCormick (Loughgiel) picking up Senior County Player of the Year, Mya McKinley (Dunloy) picking up the U16 Cup for Player of the Year, the Antrim U14 squad receiving a special Roll of Honour Lily Spence & Michael Kennedy Shields for their All Ireland campaign and Emer Lyttle (St. Enda’s) receiving a certificate from the Ulster Coaching Academy for Participation and Excellence.
The packed hall was entertained during the event by Lynette Fay acting as our MC, with addresses from Ulster’s Chairperson, Karen McCormick and the Camogie Associations Chairperson, Brian Molloy.
The Ulster Awards sit nicely ahead of the new season, and it only remains to wish all our players and management teams a successful 2025 and hopefully we’ll be seeing some of you in next year’s awards.
