Feile skills final results
6 May 2017
Orlagh Convery (Geraldines Portglenone) will represent Antrim at All Ireland stage after emerging as highest scorer in a very tight and highly skillful County Feile Skills Final at Ahoghill on Saturday afternoon.
There was little to separate Orlagh and Riana McBride (2nd place) until the final skill which was "chipping" the ball over the bar (side line cut) and the young Geraldines scored the maximum 50 points to emerge victorious.
Orlagh is a first cousin of Roisin McCormick (Loughgiel) who represented Antrim a couple of years ago at the national feile skills!
Riona Matthews (Rossa), Niamh Hamill (St John's), Aobhinn McCloskey (Geraldines), Orlagh Laverty (Loughgiel), Riana McBride (Ballycastle) were the other talented camogs who contested the final.
